We believe that worship is a powerful way to connect with God and experience His presence in our lives. Our worship services are designed to be uplifting, inspiring, and centered around the teachings of Christ.
Palm Lane COGIC strives to be a diverse and welcoming environment where individuals from all backgrounds can come together for worship and spiritual growth.
The church emphasizes creating uplifting worship services centered around the teachings of Christ, fostering an atmosphere of fellowship and spiritual connection.
The church is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and extending the Kingdom of God through its evangelists and local churches. This involves actively engaging with the community and connecting faith with action through various outreach programs.
Here at Palm Lane Church Of God In Christ, we believe in taking our faith beyond the walls of our church and into the world. We are involved in a variety of local outreach programs. Christmas give-aways to bless the children in the community, as well as feeding the less fortunate in the surrounding community here at Palm Lane. We are here to be a blessing to those who need us. Come and be a part of blessing the lives of others!
Elder Lawrence Champion Blake, Sr. accepted the call to ministry long before his ordination in the year 2006. It is his ambition to treat everyone with respect and with the love of God. His vision is to do “The Great Commission”.
Elder Blake was appointed as Senior Pastor of Palm Lane Church of God in Christ in 2023. He passionately feels the call to serve God’s people and the community. This calling includes extending past the four walls of the church.
He is married to the lovely Lady Jeanine Blake. Together they are the proud parents of Jean Grace, Macy Marie, and Lawrence Champion the 2nd. All three are part of the ministry at Palm Lane COGIC.
In 2014 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Organizational Innovation. He plans to use his knowledge and experience to uplift, inspire and encourage individuals to be a part of the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Lawrence Blake counts it a privilege to serve his Father, the distinguished Presiding Bishop Emeritus Charles Edward Blake, Sr. as Apostolic Aid. Presiding Bishop Emeritus, Blake retired as Pastor of the renowned West Angeles Church of God in Christ in 2022. While under his father’s leadership, Pastor Lawrence Blake served in various capacities. However, one of his greatest joys of service was his appointment as Young Adult Pastor in 2014. Pastor Blake also counted it a great joy to have served Bishop Joe Lewis Ealy and the Southern California Jurisdiction #1 as Chief Adjutant for 15 years.
Pastor Blake’s mother, the beautiful and graceful Lady Mae Lawrence Blake, is undeniably anointed and appointed for establishing God’s house as a beautiful place of worship. She prepared the way and has afforded Pastor Blake that eye for detail and beauty.
Pastor Blake enjoys spending much of his time sharing God’s love and giving Bibles to those who don’t know God’s plan of salvation. He believes the Lord takes pleasure in being a blessing to others.
Pastor Blake’s testimony is a powerful message of God’s love for mankind. He believes his reason for existence is to be a blessing to others. He has a compassionate heart for people and is a witness to the fact that God can change any situation and grant life to those who will believe and trust Him. In January 2025, Pastor Blake became the Superintendent of the New Antioch District of First Jurisdiction of Southern California under the leadership of Bishop Joe L. Ealy.
We, the Palm Lane family and friends are excited to celebrate Superintendent Lawrence C. Blake
and First Lady Jeanine Blake’s first pastoral anniversary on August 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Sanctuary. Join us as we share memories and express our appreciation for their dedicated leadership.
Our theme, from 1 Samuel 7:12— “Hitherto has the Lord helped us” (KJV)—reminds us of the Lord’s faithfulness throughout our journey.
The New Antioch District will hold its 40th Holy Convocation on September 8, 9, and 10, 2025. This event marks the Superintendent first Convocation since his appointment as Superintendent of the New Antioch District. Each night's service will begin at 7pm here at Palm Lane Church.
Our theme: MARCHING ON FIRM FOOTING
1Corinthians 16:13 “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
